Robin Flew the Coop

Chuck Dixon is "no longer employed by DC Comics in any capacity."

Oh, snap. What happened? TechnoGreek's got the hookup at DC...maybe he can find out?

Bah. Dixon was the reason I was reading BATO.

Apparently he'll be replaced by Frank Tieri.

Gonna drop this like a hot rock.

Since this statement was only just posted, the rumor mill is churning furiously on numerous boards. DC refuses to comment, as does Mr.Dixon himself. If I had to guess, they had a blowout over something and he, in a fury resigned or was terminated. I bet it was one hell of a row. He's a great writer, this is a damn shame for the characters and their fans.

I had such high hopes that he'd eventually gain control of all of the Batman Family titles, like back in the old days...

IMHO, Dixon's run on Nightwing was one of the best, most underrated runs in comics. Good, fun stuff. I love Brian's notion of him controlling all Batman titles, because I can't count how many different types of awesome that would be.
